Insight Research and Global Convenience Store Focus revealed the winners of 'Best Foodvenience Store in the World' 2024.

Insight Research and Global Convenience Store Focus revealed the winners of 'The Best Foodvenience Store in the World' 2024, with Applegreen Rathcoole in County Dublin, Ireland, taking the top honor.

The results come after an international vote that showed strong engagement from the industry, with over 9,000 votes cast by participants worldwide.

“Applegreen is Roadside Hospitality. Since 1992, Applegreen understands the rhythm of Irish life like no other. From the early morning coffee runs to the late-night snack stops, Applegreen has been there, growing alongside its customers. At Applegreen, our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and getting their feedback is an important step in creating the best customer experience on the road,” read the Applegreen Rathcoole entry profile.

Applegreen Rathcoole was recognized for its high-quality customer experience and effective operations, earning it the title of the best foodvenience store. 

The rankings are as follows:

  • 3rd place: Dash In, part of The Wills Group, located in Chantilly, Virginia, USA.
  • 2nd place: Lion Place, operated by FGC Fuels Marketing in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
  • 1st place: Applegreen Rathcoole in County Dublin, Ireland, has been named the winner.

Organizers acknowledged the significant efforts of all participating teams and emphasized that while only one store could win, the competition highlighted the dedication of all teams to customer service. The competition was supported by Gilbarco Veeder Root, The Moseley Group, and The Coca-Cola Company. 

“When we all work together, we move the industry forward, this global competition gives your business the chance to be seen and recognised throughout the world as the very best; while at the same time providing insight and learning for our industry globally," said Frank Gleeson, Insight Research board advisor and former NACS chairman.

Looking ahead, organizers plan to continue showcasing excellence in the industry in future competitions.
