Cepsa has launched its Truck Village project, through Fleets & CRT, the company’s business specialized in professional transport

Cepsa's Truck Villages will offer hauliers a comprehensive solution, bringing together essential services in one place. These include fenced, 24-hour guarded parking areas, rest areas, changing rooms, showers, restaurant areas, truck wash service, a store with a range of products adapted to their needs and refueling, among others.

Drivers will be able to reserve their space from the Starressa app and access the site thanks to license plate recognition systems.

"We want to dignify the essential work carried out by hauliers and improve their quality of life by offering them comfortable, safe spaces with different services adapted to their needs, where they can rest without having to deviate from their route," said Cedric Vigneau, Director of Fleets & CRT at Cepsa.

The initiative is in line with the European Union’s demand for this type of safe parking areas where hauliers can take their regulatory breaks, Spain being one of the countries with the lowest supply of these locations.

Cepsa's first Truck Village has opened its doors in Meco (Madrid), and will have the Safe and Secure Truck Parking Area (SSTPA) certificate granted by the EU. The company aims to establish more than 20 facilities along the main logistics hubs and corridors linking the Iberian Peninsula with the rest of the continent throughout the decade.
