Cepsa taps new partnership for supplying biofuels to Persán

The supply trucks of both companies will use 100% renewable diesel produced at the La Rábida Energy Park from organic waste and used cooking oils.

Cepsa Química and the Persán group signed an agreement so that the transportation of Cepsa's chemical supplies to the Sevillian company will be carried out using 100% renewable diesel (HVO).
With this agreement to support sustainability across the operations of the company focused on household and personal care products, around 126 tons of CO2 per year will be avoided. This is similar to the amount absorbed by a forest of over 8,000 trees during the same period.
Cepsa Química supplies Persán with the raw material used to produce more than 60% of the biodegradable detergents for both domestic and industrial use.
As part of its 2030 strategy, Positive Motion, Cepsa is promoting the development of an ecosystem focused on accelerating its decarbonization and that of its customers. The company seeks to achieve this goal mainly through the production of renewable hydrogen and 2G biofuels, to become a leader in the energy transition.
The company produces and markets 2G biofuels to customers in the air, maritime and land transport sectors. It currently manufactures this renewable diesel at its La Rábida Energy Park (Huelva).
