Copec has reached a major milestone in its commitment to accelerate Chile’s energy transition by achieving nationwide coverage of fast-charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs).

With the inauguration of new charging points in the northern cities of Arica and Iquique, the company now operates in all 16 regions of the country, further solidifying its leadership in e-mobility across Chile. Developed by Copec Voltex, the company’s subsidiary focused on e-mobility, each unit delivers 120 kW of power and is equipped with two CCS2 connectors, allowing EVs to reach 80% battery capacity in approximately 30 minutes.

The milestone coincides with Copec’s 90th anniversary and marks a new chapter in the company’s history of expanding mobility infrastructure across Chile.

“In these 90 years, we've moved Chile forward—even reaching areas where no roads existed. Today, we renew that commitment by completing our fast-charging network nationwide,” said Francis David, Commercial Manager at Copec Voltex.

The expansion brings Copec’s fast-charging network to 146 locations, connecting more than 2,200 kilometers of territory. This creates South America’s longest continuous electric route and a charging network unmatched on the continent.
