Copec has inaugurated its first all-electric service station in Chile, coinciding with the celebration of its 90th anniversary. The station, the first in the country to switch from fossil fuels to electricity, is powered by 100% clean energy and has infrastructure designed for various electric vehicle charging standards.

The facility includes six charging points to supply electric vehicles of different power ratings and standards, as well as a battery exchange station for the Gogoro ecosystem. Its sustainable design, built in wood instead of steel, avoids the emission of 16.3 tonnes of CO2 and captures an additional 45 tonnes during its lifetime, reaffirming the company's commitment to sustainability.

This initiative is part of Copec's comprehensive strategy to promote electromobility in Chile, with actions ranging from the expansion of its electric charging network, connecting more than 2,200 kilometres throughout the country, to the incorporation of innovative technologies in industrial sectors and public transport.
