The company opened a new site in Esmoriz featuring 12 charging points with a capacity of up to 300 kW.

Galp has opened a new electric vehicle (EV) charging hub in Esmoriz, next to the A29, equipped with the first ultra-fast Siemens chargers manufactured in Portugal.
Produced at the Corroios plant, these chargers offer 12 charging points with a power of up to 300 kW, which aims to bring the EV charging experience closer to traditional fuel refueling and optimize energy consumption. This hub combines ultra-fast charging with the convenience of a renovated store.
“We are consolidating our leadership position in this segment with a strategy that combines investments in more and faster charging points and in Galp stations that offer the best convenience, meeting users' needs and bringing more customers on the electrification journey,” said Duarte Martins, Head of Galp's Electric Mobility Technical Area.
This investment is part of the company's plan to expand the network of hubs in the Lisbon and Porto metropolitan areas and on the A1 and A2 highways.
Galp is one of the leaders in e-mobility, with 2024 being its best year ever with a 40% growth in the use of its network for a total of 1.4 million charging sessions.
