Jio-bp, the mobility company’s joint venture alongside Reliance Industries Limited, has added over 1,000 charging locations in India during the last year.

According to a report by local news site The Times of India, the company has been partnering with several players across the mobility, real estate, e-commerce and shopping industries to achieve this milestone. This has resulted in a network of over 1,400 chargers established throughout eight cities and major highways.

Operating under the Jio-bp Pulse brand, the firm operates seven of the country's largest charging hubs and has dozens other hubs under construction. It has also built several charging locations at malls, public parking spaces and residential areas.

This development of e-mobility infrastructure has enabled the company to win the elite Golden Peacock Innovative Product Service Award 2023. Among other recent achievements, it has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mahindra Group for the studying of EV products and service development alongside discovering synergies in low-carbon and conventional fuel.

In addition, Jio-bp is continuing to explore other low-carbon solutions, thanks to a recent foray into CNG retailing. Following the Government of India's vision, it was amongst the first players to launch E20 fuel and has also commissioned its first Compressed Biogas retailing facility.
