Orlen Germany adds Girocard option to Tankstar app

The updated version of the app aims to be more user-friendly thanks to the addition of a customisable dashboard.
With the integration of the Sparkasse Girocard, Tankstar app users at Orlen and star petrol stations now have an additional payment option at their disposal.
The Girocard in combination with Apple Wallet expands the existing payment functions. The updated version of the app also promises to be more user-friendly thanks to a customisable dashboard.
The further expansion and integration of the Sparkasse Girocard now offers an even larger customer segment the possibility of paying directly at the pump.
‘After only a few weeks, we are already seeing a high percentage of transactions via the Sparkasse Girocard in the Tankstar app. This shows once again how important a balanced payment mix is for the customer and ultimately for acquiring new customers’, says Benedikt Brandi, Director of E-Mobility & Business Development at Orlen Deutschland.
The updated version of the app is also more user-friendly thanks to the introduction of its customisable dashboard. Users can arrange widgets to have the most important functions available at a glance.
In addition, the petrol station finder with the nearest Orlen or star petrol stations is displayed directly on the home screen. The carwash offering is also available through the app and all stations of the Orlen network in Germany with car wash facilities have been integrated.
