Pertamina collaborates with Toyota on hydrogen ecosystem

The Indonesian energy company wants to see the potential of hydrogen for the transportation sector.
PT Pertamina (Persero) is developing a hydrogen-based vehicle ecosystem and collaborating with Toyota.
Dannif Danusaputro, President Director of PT Pertamina New and Renewable Energy, explained the company is trying to gage the potential of hydrogen for the transportation sector with this new partnership.
"Hydrogen for vehicles is one of the alternative clean energy transportation options. Pertamina, together with Toyota, will develop a passenger car ecosystem based on hydrogen," said Danif.
Pertamina, Indonesia’s leading oil and fuel retail company, will also build hydrogen refueling infrastructure.
"In the future, we will have hydrogen refueling stations, as evidence of Pertamina's commitment to optimizing the infrastructure to accelerate the energy transition," added Dannif.
