Pilot fuels the journey with network enhancements in the first quarter

Pilot Travel Centers has hit the ground running in 2025 with a number of openings and refurbishments. The company opened a record-breaking flagship store and invested in EV charging infrastructure.
One of the quarter’s highlights was the unveiling of Pilot’s new flagship travel center in Stanton, Tennessee. Spanning more than 20,000 square feet, this location is now the largest in the company’s network. The Stanton site features expanded fresh food offerings, inviting spaces, and a modernized experience.
“Expanding into new communities and modernizing our locations are key to our strategy. Each new location and remodel reflects our ambition to be the leading energy and experience provider, equipping drivers with everything they need to recharge and hit the road ready for what’s next,” said Brad Anderson, Chief Operating Officer at Pilot.
The company’s broader modernization initiative, known as New Horizons, continues to transform the travel center experience across the country. To date, over 200 Pilot and Flying J locations have been upgraded, with 11 remodels completed in the first quarter of the year. These updates include extensive improvements to restrooms and showers, expanded kitchen areas, and design changes.
Pilot also extended its footprint by opening a new travel center in Winfield, Alabama, and integrating three dealer-operated sites into its Pilot and One9 networks.
Supporting the shift to electric mobility, Pilot continued to build out its EV charging infrastructure, reaching more than 130 fast-charging locations in over 25 states. Since January, 12 new fast-charging sites have come online across 10 states, including Alabama, Indiana, California, and Michigan.
Complementing its physical upgrades, Pilot is also investing in digital tools to enhance the customer journey. The company’s myRewards Plus app remains a key part of its offering, giving guests access to personalized deals, route planning features, and loyalty rewards that help them save and stay connected on the go.
