The new unmanned convenience store offers travelers, commuters and residents the opportunity to shop around thanks to fast and convenient shopping enabled by artificial intelligence.

Lekkerland has opened its first unmanned REWE To Go store at a train station, located in the city of Koblenz.
As a subsidiary of the REWE Group, the company has established this outlet to offer travelers, commuters and residents a convenient location to buy snacks and drinks around the clock, seven days a week. The site covers around 65 m2 and its offer primarily includes products for immediate or on-the-go consumption.
“We are very excited about our first smart store at a train station. High-frequency locations such as train stations and airports offer promising potential for unmanned store concepts,” said Mehmet Tözge, Vice President Smart Stores at Lekkerland.
The company has a portfolio of five different smart store solutions that is unique in Germany, with concepts differing in terms of the technology used and the purchasing process, among other things.
Thanks to this new outlet in Koblenz, Lekkerland operates 18 unmanned stores throughout Germany, with other locations including charging parks, hospitals and office buildings.
