Rompetrol, Edenred organized first Romanian "Champ on the Road" event

This year’s event was celebrated at selected stations across five countries in which drivers received free coffee and a hot meal alongside other gifts after refueling.
UTA Edenred, one of Europe's leading mobility service providers, has celebrated a new edition of its “Champ on the Road” series of events, in which Romania participated for the first time thanks to Rompetrol’s collaboration.
The event recognizes the hard work and challenging conditions faced by professional drivers in Europe. This year, selected service stations in Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and Romania, participated in the celebration and gifted drivers with practical equipment, travel accessories, snacks and/or refreshments after fueling their vehicles.
The first "Champ on the Road" held in Romania in partnership with Rompetrol, took place at a branded station located on the A1 highway. After refueling, truck, van and bus drivers were awarded with a gift from UTA Edenred, a coffee and a hot meal from the fuel retail chain.
"We thank our partners from UTA Edenred for the initiative of this event. Together we are close to the drivers who spend many hours on the road and need a well-deserved break. This year we opened ten new gas stations on the A1 highway, the Sibiu-Nădlac section, one of the busiest routes in Romania, where customers can enjoy a hot meal, in addition to the multitude of products and services they find there, and where they can relax in a space specially designed to help them recharge with energy to hit the road again safely," said Bauyrzhan Nugumanov, General Manager at Rompetrol Downstream.
Last year, Rompetrol and UTA Edenred concluded a partnership which stated that UTA customers can use the network of stations of the brand to refuel with petrol, diesel and LPG, by using UTA cards.
