Spar Switzerland opened its third 24/7 Spar Express store in the country, located in the village of Surava. Operating without any staff, the 15m2 site offers about 500 essential food items.

Following the successful launch of the first unattended location at Zurich’s Sihlqui bus terminal in February, the second Go24 retail unit followed soon in Rueras, where the Go24 shop is the only food shopping destination.

The new Spar Go24-shop in Surava caters to everyday shopping needs. Alongside groceries, drinks and hygiene products, the store offers a range of fresh produce, including vegetables, bread, dairy products, and meat. Sales are monitored through an app to ensure a continuous supply of fresh food items.

Customers can enter the store after scanning a QR code at the entrance and accepting the terms and conditions. The purchases are also scanned using a smartphone while payment is made by Twint, debit, or credit card while the store is equipped with cameras and sensors for customers' safety. If they have questions or face any challenges in the shopping process, information is provided online instantly.
