The retailer has granted the country’s largest retailer a license to operate the brand across the country, with the first location set to be opened Korzinka halfway mid-year.

Spar will expand its network with Korzinka, Uzbekistan’s largest retailer, by granting the company a license to operate the brand in the country. Korzinka plans to open the first stores in Uzbekistan by mid-2024.
The arrival of the brand is an important milestone in the development of the grocery retail trade in Uzbekistan. The company offers four store formats in its multi-format retail strategy, meeting shopper needs for every time of day.
Suppliers will have new ways to grow and develop, as the Spar country organizations prioritize local producers and farmers that reflect their local community spirit.
“We are confident that this partnership with Korzinka, which shares our values, will benefit not only the company and its customers, but will also strengthen Spar internationally,” said David Moore, Director of International Retail and Development.
Korzinka, in turn, will have access to international expertise, advanced technologies, stringent international standards and comprehensive knowledge of the industry, which will help take retailing in Uzbekistan to a new level.
