Terpel announced the opening of Its first AutoLPG station in the city of Cali and its fifth across Colombia.

This station will help meet the demand of more than 2,000 vehicles that run on this fuel type in the country. The arrival of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Cali addresses the growth of the vehicle fleet in this area, one of the largest in the country with around 527,000 vehicles, and the cost-saving culture associated with gasoline substitutes.

This opening will allow LPG users to enjoy economic savings of approximately 35% to 38%, while maintaining the same level of power and performance as gasoline engines.

“The diversification of our energy portfolio aims to provide multiple alternatives based on our customers’ needs. With this inauguration, we support Cali and the region in their energy transition and contribute to the national goal of moving towards a low-carbon mobility system,” said Johand Patiño, Vice President of Fuels at Terpel.

So far this year, the company has invested more than $3 billion to promote the growth of the AutoLPG market through the roll out of stations and financing for vehicle conversions.

Terpel plans to open new stations in Medellín, Cartagena, and two more in Cali, reaching a total of nine stations by the end of the year, representing an investment of nearly $5 billion in these locations.
