TravelCenters of America adds new Black Bear Diner location

The latest franchised diner marks the concept’s 157th diner system-wide and eighth location with the travel stops brand.
TravelCenters of America has expanded its partnership with Black Bear Diner, one of the fastest-growing restaurant franchises in the U.S.
The new diner is located in Tonopah, Arizona, and marks the company’s eighth location alongside the travel stops franchisee. Boasting 7,930 square feet and equipped with seating up to 158 guests, this opening follows TA’s most recent Black Bear Diner opening in San Antonio, Texas last March.
“We are pleased to add to our full-service dining offer. Our guests love the Black Bear Diner concept, and our team is excited to welcome such a popular brand to the TA in Tonopah’s wide array of offerings,” said Jack Hancharick, Vice President for Full-Service Restaurants at TravelCenters of America.
This is the fourth Black Bear Diner to open this year and the company anticipates an additional six openings in 2023 to expand its current network of 157 diners across 14 states.
