Virši has introduced the first robot barista in the Baltic states, equipped with a specialized robotic arm located at the Spice shopping center in Riga, Latvia. The site offers freshly roasted coffee and over 20 other drinks completed  in front of the customer and bystanders.

The new service combines the functions of a coffee machine and a robotic arm, offering a wide range of tastes for lovers of classic and cold coffee and vegan options, among others. Equipped with a system that allows remote monitoring of all the robot’s operating parameters, the store ensures consistent beverage quality.

The project was developed in collaboration with a long-standing partner, the full-service coffee company King Coffee Service and with a total investment of €150,000 for the project.

“This project is our first step beyond the usual service station environment to be closer to our customers and provide quality Virši coffee and other favorite, trendy and up-to-date drinks to everyone. Undoubtedly, with such projects we are also moving towards business sustainability. That is why we will continue to develop this approach and surprise Latvian inhabitants with new stores and solutions,” says Linda Prūse, Head of Retail and Member of the Board of Virši.

Virši is a growing energy commodities trader and convenience store network with 28 years of experience, with 72 service stations currently operating under the brand across Latvia.
