WashTec to offer in-car payments for car wash services

The company has tapped ryd’s solutions to offer drivers a seamless and convenient experience when they need to wash their cars.
WashTec has partnered with ryd to upgrade its digital payment solutions for car washes.
The collaboration is set to enable seamless and convenient payment of car wash tickets directly via smartphone or in-car payment system in the future.
Starting February, the service will be available at selected car washes and should be fully rolled out across Germany by the middle of the year.
"By combining our expertise in the car wash sector with ryd's innovative payment technology, we are revolutionizing the customer experience in car washing and setting new standards in convenience and efficiency," said Sebastian Kutz, CSO of WashTec.
This partnership comes after ryd’s expansion of its "Fueling" division in Europe, putting car washes as the next strategic step for growth. The aim is to further expand its ecosystem and establish the company as a leading provider in the car wash sector.
With around 1,800 employees worldwide and subsidiaries in Europe, North America and Asia/Pacific, WashTec is represented by independent dealers in around 80 countries.
