The company is currently the largest fuel retailer in Germany and aims to expand its fuel portfolio alongside growing its charging capabilities and the REWE To Go network.

Aral celebrated its 100th anniversary with a ceremony in Bochum's Jahrhunderthalle, coinciding with the invention of the world's first super fuel in 1924.
Close to 500 guests attended the event organized by Germany’s largest fuel retailer, with a total of 2,400 locations across the country. In addition, it registers approximately 2 million customer contacts daily across its entire network while also being both the largest coffee-to-go provider and car wash business at service stations.
"Aral's success story means constant change and a focus on the needs of our customers. 100 years ago we invented the first premium fuel, today we are inventing the filling station of tomorrow," explained Achim Bothe, CEO of Aral.
Part of the company’s strategy moving forward involves the rollout of more REWE To Go stores across service stations, which first began in 2014 in partnership with Lekkerland. Recently, both companies extended their cooperation until 2028.
In addition, the mobility firm wants to expand its Aral pulse brand to grow its charging capabilities across Germany. Since, 2021, the company has been establishing ultra-fast charging points and seeks to establish up to 20,000 charging points by 2030.
