Located in Bochum-Wattenscheid, the new site is set to include 15 ultra-fast chargers with a total of 27 charging points, with completion planned for December 2025.

Aral pulse is expanding its charging network across Germany with a new modern Gigahub for electric vehicles (EV) in Bochum-Wattenscheid, set to be one of the largest charging parks in the country.
The site will comprise 15 ultra-fast chargers with a total of 27 charging points, including 24 for cars and three for trucks. The charging points will have an output of up to 400 kilowatts (kW). Depending on the vehicle technology, EVs can charge up to 300 kilometers of range within 10 minutes.
Additionally, a photovoltaic system is planned for the roof of the facility and a restaurant will be established on the site.
"The Aral pulse charging network continues to grow, including in Bochum-Wattenscheid. We already have around 2,700 charging points at almost 400 locations on the network and are planning further expansion," announced Alexander Junge, Aral Board Member for Electromobility.
The facility is scheduled for completion in December 2025. The company has been expanding the ultra-fast charging network under its e-mobility brand Aral pulse since 2021.
In addition to the ultra-fast charging stations for cars, the charging offer for trucks is expected to grow to 30 locations by the end of the year.
