Certas Energy has announced the upcoming opening of a new bunker refueling site in Warrington, set to launch in September 2025.

Marking the company’s largest infrastructure investment in the past five years, the site will play a key role in supporting cleaner transport fuels in the region and expanding access to HVO. Strategically located near the M62, the new facility is designed for easy access and efficient refueling.

This facility will feature four high-speed pumps dispensing DERV, AdBlue, and HVO, with refueling speeds of up to 120 litres per minute. This addition brings Certas Energy’s national network of bunker sites offering HVO to 16.

The company also revealed that the Warrington site is being developed with future sustainability in mind, with plans to introduce electric HGV charging infrastructure in due course.

Positioned in the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, the Warrington site reinforces Certas Energy’s commitment to supporting low-carbon fuel alternatives and enhancing the UK’s commercial fueling infrastructure.
