Despar Italy celebrates store openings across the country

The retailer’s partners have opened new stores and reopened refurbished sites to close off the brand’s 2023 expansion.
Across the country, partners of Despar Italy celebrated the openings of new stores as well as the reopening of restyled stores to close the brand’s expansion for 2023.
Gruppo 3A, partner of the brand for the North-West region, welcomed two new stores into its expanding network. A new 250m² Despar store opened in Darsena di Savona., where customers can choose from a large selection of fresh produce, including fruit and vegetables.
The end of November also saw the opening of the Despar di Vallecrosia in Imola. This new supermarket has a range of 3,200 products available for customers, such as fruit and vegetables, cold meats and dairy products. The site also has a variety of eco-friendly features, such as LED lighting and close refrigerated counters with a low environmental impact.
There were two significant developments in the Despar North-East store portfolio. The first Eurospar Supermarket opened in the Lombardy region, in Cremona. A 1,451m² facility that employs 35 team members and provides a new way of shopping for customers.
Additionally, Despar Nord Est celebrated the re-opening of the restyled Despar store near Padua city center. The shop now has a more welcoming look and feel for customers, as well as more eco-friendly features, new shelves, the introduction of a new product range and a fresh touch with new paint.
Maiora srl, Despar Italia partner for the Central-South region, opened three new stores, alongside the restyling of one store. Despar Centro Sud’s expansion in Calabria continued with the opening of a new, modern Eurospar Supermarket in Mirto Crosia.
Two smaller, neighborhood format Despar stores also opened in the region, one in Macerata Campania, and the other in Cassino. Both stores offer quality and convenience, as well as an offering ranging from delicatessen, to a butcher’s shop and the fruit and vegetable department.
The restyled Interspar Hypermarket in Vibo Valentia, Calabria reopened its doors in November. The store has strengthened its eco-friendly standing through the installation of LED lighting and CO2 refrigeration systems using the latest generation of refrigeration technology, enabling energy efficiency and high standards of safety and reliability.
In Sardinia, Despar Sardegna is developing new stores for the incoming high season next year. With this in mind, it has developed two Eurospar Supermarkets in Sardinia and a new Eurospar Supermarket opened in Santa Giusta in the province of Oristano. In addition, there was also the reopening of the restyled Eurospar Supermarket in Porto Torres, in the province of Sassari.
