EnBW reaches 5,000 fast-charging points throughout Germany

The company will continue to expand its fast-charging network with 1,000 additional points planned by the end of the year.

EnBW has reached the mark of 5,000 public fast-charging points across Germany after years of consistently expanding its network nationwide.
Operating all of these locations and supplying them with 100% green energy, the company has steadily increased its reach since its inception. In the last semester, the firm has rolled out more 400 kw charging locations than in the same period of last year.
"Our guiding principle is geared towards the needs of users: Fast charging must be available where they are - where they shop, park or take a break on their long-distance journey. Because charging is not refueling, and fast charging fits conveniently into people's everyday lives," specified Colette Rückert-Hennen, EnBW Board Member and responsible for e-mobility.
EnBW plans to reach 6,000 public fast-charging points in the second half of the year. By the end of the decade, the company aims to increase this number fivefold through an annual investment of around €200 million.
