HEM sets new world record for daily car washes

The retailer achieved 10,199 car washes in under eight hours, surpassing the previous record of 7,197 cars washed in a single work day.
German fuel retail brand HEM has set a new world record for amount of car washes completed in a single work day.
The chain, owned by Deutsche Tamoil GmbH, surpassed the previous record of 7,197 cars washed, achieved by an American company, with a total of 10,199 car washes under eight hours. Drivers from all over the country answered the call and attended the nearest service station of the company and contributed to the cause.
"We are thrilled with the response and enthusiasm of our customers. Thanks to their support, we brought the world record to Germany. It was an unforgettable day full of action, excitement and community," said Carsten Pohl, Managing Director of HEM.
To set the new world record, the company offered car washes for only five euros, which made car wash facilities very busy from morning to night. The offer included the entire process, from soaking to washing to drying.
