OXXO enables cash withdrawals across stores through new partnership

The retailer will install GLORY’s CASHINFINITY technology to close the financial inclusion gap throughout Mexico.

OXXO and GLORY have announced a strategic alliance to help close the financial inclusion gap in Mexico by enabling cash withdrawals across its retail network.
The brand will leverage its presence throughout the country to extend financial services to its customers by implementing its partner CASHINFINITY technology. Through iBox, the firm’s cash recycler, customers will be able to access cash withdrawals and enable various banking services.
Benefits include increased availability of cash, automated validation and rejection of counterfeit bills, improved store security and an enhanced employee and customer experience.
“Today marks the beginning of a transformation project that will accelerate financial inclusion in Mexico and help streamline the functions of our store employees, through the implementation of technology and digital innovation, we will continue to meet the needs of our customers and simplify their lives,” said Mónica de Martino, Cash Management Leader at OXXO.
CASHINFINITY will be implemented gradually in OXXO stores around the country, starting in Nuevo León, Chiapas, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Oaxaca and Puebla.
Once installed, these iBox will be linked to the chain’s system, offering customers a comprehensive solution that allows them to carry out various financial procedures and services in one place without having to travel long distances.
