Stellantis and Bolt have announced a strategic partnership to develop and deploy driverless vehicles for commercial operations across Europe. The collaboration will leverage Stellantis’ AV-Ready Platforms, including the eK0 medium-size van and STLA Small, alongside Bolt’s ride-hailing network.

Bolt, which operates in more than 50 countries and 23 EU Member States, plans to integrate Stellantis’ autonomous vehicles into its shared mobility platform, aiming to offer fully driverless ride-hailing services.

“Partnering with Bolt is intended to bring this vision closer to reality, combining our engineering expertise with their operational reach in the hopes of making driverless mobility a trusted part of everyday life in Europe,” said Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa.

Trials are scheduled to begin in European countries in 2026, with phased deployment leading to initial production in 2029.

“The partnership marks the next step in our ambition to have 100,000 autonomous vehicles on the Bolt platform by 2035,” added Bolt CEO Markus Villig.

Both companies will work closely with regulators to ensure compliance with safety, data protection, and cybersecurity requirements. The initiative supports a broader vision of reducing congestion and emissions through shared, optimized mobility.
