New Bogotá-based subsidiary targets multiple aviation segments as the retailer explores growth beyond fuel distribution.

Terpel has established Nexa Aviation S.A.S., a new subsidiary based in Bogotá, as part of its strategy to expand into Colombia’s aviation sector. The company confirmed it will exercise control over the newly formed entity, which was officially registered following approval by Terpel’s board in February 2026.
The new company is designed to address opportunities across different segments of the aviation industry, although Terpel has not disclosed specific activities or operational plans. The move signals a broadening of the retailer’s business scope beyond its traditional focus on fuel distribution.
Terpel already has a presence in aviation fuel supply at several airports across Colombia. The creation of Nexa Aviation introduces a new corporate structure linked to this activity, potentially opening the door to additional services related to logistics, infrastructure or specialized aviation operations.
The company stated that the initiative responds to evolving challenges within the aviation sector, where energy, mobility and supply chain players are increasingly diversifying their roles. However, no details were provided regarding investment levels, partnerships or timelines for the new business.
