Another Amazon Go store closes in Seattle

This decision comes after a statement from Amazon in March of this year in which the company confirmed the closing of eight Amazon Go stores.
Amazon’s retail concepts (Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh) have both been struggling with closures and opening delays. The last closure took place recently in Seattle.
A third Amazon Go location in Seattle took in its last customers Friday, as reported by the Seattle Times. Over the last few months, a handful of Amazon Go stores have closed and other Amazon retail locations that were supposed to have opened have not.
The 1,450-square-foot store opened in August 2018. It was the second Go location to open after the first such store debuted at the base of Amazon’s Day One office tower several months earlier that year.
