Collaboration with Dover Fueling Solutions marks the largest automation project of its kind in the region.

Ardova Plc has announced a major partnership with Dover Fueling Solutions® (DFS) to automate fuel retail operations across its service station network in Nigeria.
The initiative, the largest of its kind in the country, will see 1,000 fuel pumps upgraded with DFS’ advanced automation technologies. With over 700 retail sites nationwide, the automation initiative represents a significant leap in transparency and efficiency for Ardova.
Abdul-Hakeem Buhari, Chief Strategy Officer at Ardova Plc, said the collaboration is central to the company’s transformation strategy: “As we digitise and modernise our retail network, the integration of DFS’ automation suite empowers us to operate with greater agility, precision, and transparency. We are not just adopting technology — we are reimagining how fuel retail should serve customers in a fast-changing world.”
As part of the initiative, the company also plans to expand the rollout of modern Tokheim fuel dispensers at hundreds of service stations, with installation supported by DFS’ regional partner, Mintin.
“Together, we are setting a new standard for dispenser and automation excellence in Nigeria. With our cutting-edge wired and wireless solutions, we’re revolutionising retail operations across the country—and this is just the beginning,” said Jorge Bastos, Regional Sales Manager at DFS.
By combining Ardova’s national reach with DFS’ technological expertise and Mintin’s engineering capabilities, the collaboration is poised to reshape Nigeria’s downstream fuel sector, creating a more transparent, efficient, and customer-focused fueling experience.
