The new equipment will be deployed across the company’s service stations to bring the total number of branded chargers up to 36.

Circle K Ireland has announced the expansion of its partnership with Ionity to establish more high-powered charging points for electric vehicles (EV).
The retailer will add new chargers at six locations, totaling 12 fast chargers that have a 350kW capacity. This move will bring the total number of Ionity chargers installed at Circle K service stations up to 36.
“With the growing preference for EVs among Irish motorists, Circle K is actively adapting to meet this changing landscape, preparing for the future now and beyond,” said Jonathan Diver, fuels director at Circle K Ireland.
The move expands both companies’ partnership originally launched in 2019 and the retail brand’s e-mobility development targets. This latest announcement also builds on the company’s €7 million investment plan to expand EV services.
Circle K Ireland’s ambition is to add EV charging services to 30 of its forecourts in the next 18 months, as e-mobility adoption has been on the rise lately. According to the Central Statistics Office, the number of EVs registered for the first time in the country rose to 45% last year.
