Clean Energy Fuels Corp. has announced a series of new deals with several municipalities across the United States, representing a growing demand within city agencies for more sustainable solutions for their operations.

The company has won a contract to become the sole renewable natural gas (RNG) provider for the City of Fort Collins, Colorado transit and fleet vehicles. The deal will cover RNG supply for three fueling stations owned and operated by the city.

The City of Beverly Hills, California, has signed a new deal with the company to power its waste vehicles with RNG, as well as providing monthly maintenance services for their fueling station.

Clean Energy will also build a private station for the City of Arcadia, California, a site designed to deliver 200,000 gallons of ultra-low carbon fuel annually and fuel 28 transit buses and utility trucks.

Other contracts in California involve overseeing operations of Long Beach Transit’s private fueling station, supplying equipment for two fueling stations in the City of Bakersfield, and providing fuel alongside station services in Orange County.

In New York, the firm is set to maintain Garden City Transit Authority’s transit fleet and build a station to supply 549,000 gallons of fuel to Suburban Disposal’s fleet of 61 waste collection trucks.

CleanEnergy has also signed maintenance deals with the City of Scottsdale, Arizona; the City of Tacoma, Washington; Atlantic County Utilities Authority in New Jersey; District of Columbia Public Works; and Fort Smith Transit Authority in Arkansas. In addition, the Port of Seattle has tapped the company for its airport transport fleet to provide clean fuels for 45 of its airport shuttle buses.
