Copec expands diesel reach with new Bluemax dispenser in Punta Arenas
Published on: Feb 24, 2025
The company aims to reach 70 Bluemax stations by 2025, expanding the presence of this sustainable technology across more regions in the country.

Copec has inaugurated a new Bluemax dispenser in Punta Arenas, a solution designed for diesel vehicles that aims to reduce pollutant emissions by up to 85%.
With this new installation, the company now operates a total of 67 Bluemax stations in Chile. In 2024, the implementation of this technology contributed to a reduction of over 37,500 tons of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, positioning it as a concrete alternative for improving air quality.
“This expansion in Punta Arenas not only improves access to cleaner technologies in a crucial region but also strengthens our mission to offer sustainable alternatives that contribute to environmental care and the well-being of all Chileans,” said Matías Campos, Copec's Product Management Lead.
This technology, when injected into exhaust gases, reduces NOx levels—one of the pollutants that deteriorates air quality. Additionally, it supports compliance with environmental regulations such as Euro V, promoting cleaner and healthier environments.
This new dispenser is part of Copec’s goal to reach 70 Bluemax stations by 2025, further expanding the presence of this technology across Chile.
