EG Group CEO Russell Colaco to Lead EG America

Leadership update includes John Carey’s move to advisory role as company eyes continued growth in U.S. market.

EG Group has announced that newly appointed CEO Russell Colaco will assume direct executive responsibility for EG America, the company’s largest market by sales.
John Carey, who has overseen EG America over the past 18 months, will return to the UK to become a senior adviser to the group, supporting Colaco as he steps into the top leadership role. Carey will also retire from the company’s board, with plans to further strengthen its board through additional appointments in the future.

EG Group is currently the third-largest independent convenience retail chain globally, ranking fifth in the United States and second in Continental Europe and Australia.
