EG Group enables in-car payments in Benelux

The retailer has taken its collaboration with ryd one step beyond to optimize payment processes at its locations across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
EG Group has enabled in-car and mobile payments across its fuel retail network in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
The company has deepened its partnership with ryd, one of the largest in-car payment providers, to optimize payments across the Benelux region. The move comes after successfully implementing the technology at all Esso stations in Germany.
Now, approximately 550 Esso, Texaco and Firezone petrol stations in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg will be equipped with in-car payment and digital fueling systems. The cross-border cooperation is intended to revolutionize payment at all EG petrol stations in Europe and make the refueling process more efficient and user-friendly.

The partnership aims to go beyond improving customer satisfaction by increasing sales and engagement within the ryd network. This collaboration enables straightforward payments at EG across all ryd businesses, including in-app, in-car and car sharing services.
