El Car Wash acquires Johnny Clean, doubles footprint in one year

Florida-based express wash brand now operates 80 locations statewide.
El Car Wash has announced the acquisition of Johnny Clean Car Wash, adding five new locations to its growing network and doubling its total store count over the past twelve months.
The move solidifies El Car Wash’s presence in key Florida markets, bringing its total to 80 operating sites across the state. The newly acquired sites, located in West Palm Beach, Orlando, and Jacksonville; will be fully integrated into the brand’s system, providing existing Johnny Clean members access to the full El Car Wash network and services.
“John Shullman is an industry legend who built high-performing stores with an exceptional team. These locations align perfectly with our growth strategy and commitment to quality," said CEO and Co-Founder Geoffrey Karas.
The move follows El Car Wash’s previous acquisitions of Zips’ Orlando area stores and Wash City, bringing its Central Florida presence to 25 operating sites, with more openings expected in the months ahead.
The company has now added 40 locations in the past year as it continues to densify its core markets and expand its regional reach.
As part of the integration, the newly acquired stores will be rebranded and upgraded to feature El Car Wash’s signature technology and services.
