Enilive Iberia, Eni's subsidiary in the Iberian Peninsula, announces the closing of the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Atenoil, Spanish 21-station fuel retailer.

The transaction, which has been approved by the relevant authorities, comprises all of the company’s locations in the regions of Madrid, Andalusia and Castilla-La Mancha. These sites will become part of Enilive Iberia's network, which will have a total of 38 stations in the country after the transaction.

This acquisition  supports key elements of the company’s strategic plan 2024-2027, which includes the expansion of the Enilive service station network with more than 300 outlets in Italy and abroad.

“With this acquisition, three years after our return to the Spanish retail market, Enilive Iberia has reaffirmed its development objectives and is now an important player in the energy transition of the Iberian Peninsula,” said Davide Calabrò, Chairman and CEO of Enilive Iberia.

The retailer's traditional offer of fuels and lubricants will be complemented by new biofuels derived from 100% renewable raw materials. These include HVOlution, HVO diesel - of which Eni is the second largest European producer - and fast and ultra-fast electric charging with Plenitude, an Eni subsidiary.
