Deployments to expand across Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh under the government’s PM E-Bus Sewa Scheme.

GreenCell Mobility has secured a major contract to deploy 1,222 electric buses under the Indian government’s PM E-Bus Sewa Scheme, reinforcing its leadership in clean urban transportation.
The company has received a Letter of Award from Convergence Energy Services for the deployment of 472 Eicher electric buses across six cities in Madhya Pradesh, in partnership with VE Commercial Vehicles. In parallel, GreenCell has teamed up with Pinnacle Mobility Solutions to deploy an additional 750 electric buses across 11 cities in Andhra Pradesh.
This large-scale deployment comes as part of the Government of India’s initiative to introduce 10,000 electric buses nationwide, promoting sustainable mobility and reducing emissions in urban centers. The PM E-Bus Sewa scheme’s latest tender covers 4,588 buses for fiscal year 2024–25.
“These projects mark a major milestone in our mission to transform mass mobility with zero-emission electric buses. Our strategic partnerships with top OEMs and our robust financing model will help us bring clean, efficient public transport to more Indian cities,” said Devndra Chawla, Managing Director & CEO of GreenCell Mobility.
The company already operates 900 electric buses in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, and the new orders will significantly grow its presence in central and southern India.
GreenCell Mobility is also investing in the necessary charging infrastructure to support seamless fleet operations in both states.
