ICASA launches enhanced eMobility platform

Published on: Jun 10, 2025

Advertorial

Fuel retailers face numerous challenges, not only the energy transition, but also changing customer behavior and expectations, technological changes, and advanced mobility solutions. The fuel retailing landscape has undergone significant transformations in recent years, with stations becoming more than just places to refuel and transforming into multi-energy hubs.

ICASA helps retailers make their stations future-proof by guiding them through the current changes and enabling them to evolve from energy suppliers to mobility providers. As a software partner for the energy sector ICASA is a pioneer and invested years ago in developing one innovative cloud platform for the full and central management of all types of energy (traditional liquid fuels, electricity, hydrogen, biofuels and natural gas) in order to evolve with the market trends and its customers. By integrating various energy sources within a single station, multi-energy hubs address the energy challenges, supporting the transition to a sustainable, resilient and economically viable energy future.

Enhanced eMobility platform for Charge Point Operators

Fuel retailers are fully committed to expanding their charging station networks, both at their own stations and at third-party sites. With its eMobility platform ICASA enables medium and large sized fuel retailers to act as Charge Point Operator (CPO) and to onboard, activate, and manage their EV chargers in the secured customer environment. From defining tariffs and authorizing charging sessions, to managing partners and monitoring. Thanks to constant monitoring, the ICASA Suite can quickly identify (potential) problems and minimize possible downtime of EV chargers.

Automation of billing and invoicing processes

The back-office CPO module allows efficient and smooth billing and invoicing processes including partner invoicing procedure for eMobility and optional tariffication in bulk. ICASA helps CPOs to automate and streamline subscription-based billing for EV charging services (such as connectivity, SIM card data contract, service and maintenance contract, …) and one-shot invoicing (such as EV charging stations & electrical hardware, installation and activation, technical inspection). To meet the needs of the industry, functionalities such as energy reimbursement and revenue sharing will be part of the future EV roadmap.

Payment terminal integration

The integration with a payment terminal, both via Fuel POS and payment kiosk, enables secure EV charging payment methods. The biggest challenge of public EV charging lies in the identification and authentication of the EV driver. The partnership between Dover Fueling Solutions, TSG and ICASA, makes it possible for EV chargers to be included in transactions through the POS system and the outdoor payment terminal. This enables customers to pay for EV charging with cash, as well as with fleet card or credit card, not requiring any subscriptions and providing the driver with the freedom to charge anywhere.

Integrated invoicing to end customers

The back-office EMSP module of the ICASA eMobility platform can integrate with external EMSP platforms to collect charging data. This enables integrated invoicing via the ICASA Suite to end customers, combining eMobility and fuel transactions, as well as shop purchases. It allows eMobility Service Providers (EMSPs) to centralize their customer data and card management. In the future, the module will be further expanded with enhanced authorization.
