The collaboration is expected to significantly expand the automaker’s after-sales network.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) and Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate car servicing with fuel refiling, aiming to enhance convenience for millions of vehicle owners across India.
Under the agreement, Maruti Suzuki service facilities will be set up at select IndianOil fuel stations nationwide. This initiative will allow customers to access scheduled maintenance and minor repairs for their Maruti Suzuki vehicles at the same locations where they refuel, creating a streamlined, one-stop solution.
IndianOil operates over 41,000 fuel stations across India, while Maruti Suzuki currently has more than 5,780 service touchpoints. The collaboration is expected to significantly expand the automaker’s after-sales network, leveraging IndianOil’s extensive reach to bring essential services closer to consumers.
Saumitra P Srivastava, Director of Marketing at IndianOil, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to improving customer experience through value-added services. “With our nationwide presence, we are uniquely positioned to make car servicing more accessible,” he noted.
Ram Suresh Akella, Executive Officer at Maruti Suzuki, highlighted the convenience factor: “By joining hands with IndianOil, we aim to simplify the ownership journey for our customers.”
The move signals a growing trend of convergence between the energy and mobility sectors, offering integrated solutions for time-conscious consumers. While similar models exist globally, this collaboration marks a significant step in India’s automotive service landscape.
