Belgian fuel retailer MAES is set to upgrade its maintenance operations across 300 service stations throughout the country.

The firm has partnered with tech company Techniche to implement its maintenance and asset management solution. With this implementation, the brand aims to support the efficient operation of its network of unmanned forecourts.

The retailer will automate the maintenance management of assets across its stations, convenience stores and car washes to increase asset reliability and availability. Urgent will support this ambition by improving the customer experience, increase operational efficiency and reduce overheads across its maintenance operation.

“Managing and maintaining a large network of unmanned fuel stations presents a unique set of operational challenges, particularly in terms of addressing maintenance issues promptly. Our commitment to customer satisfaction means we must ensure our forecourt equipment is available to customers when they visit our site,” stated Gilbert van Rens, CEO at MAES Energy and Mobility.

MAES Energy and Mobility is one of the leading independent energy companies in Belgium, with over 300 service stations. These locations currently operate under the brands MAES, ESSO, and SHELL, along with 25 shops under the l’Unique brand.
