Mercedes-Benz and German motorway service area operator 24-Autohöfe have launched a strategic partnership to expand premium electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure along key motorway routes in Germany.

The first of more than ten planned Mercedes-Benz High Power Charging Hubs has now opened at the 24-Autohof Wernberg-Köblitz, located at the Oberpfälzer Wald motorway interchange. This new charging park offers six high-power charging points with up to 400 kW, available to drivers of all electric vehicle brands.

“Partnering with 24-Autohöfe means adding an experienced and award-winning family business to our network. Together, we are bringing innovation, reliability, and top comfort to the charging experience at key transport hubs across Germany,” said Michael Springmann, CEO of Mercedes-Benz High Power Charging Europe.

The site already hosts chargers from Tesla, Ionity, and Allego, offering drivers multiple fast-charging options.

Dr. Jessica Böse, Managing Partner of 24-Autohöfe, who oversees construction and expansion, called the partnership with Mercedes-Benz “a strong signal for providing our guests with first-class quality and service.”

The opening underlines the crucial role of motorway service areas in expanding fast-charging infrastructure for both electric cars and, in the future, battery-electric trucks—helping Germany move closer to its climate targets while ensuring convenient travel for EV drivers.

The 24-Autohof Wernberg-Köblitz will continue to serve as an important service hub for both the local community and long-distance travelers, but now with a new operator, Dorian Blank. Through fresh concepts, and future-ready infrastructure, it is positioning itself as a dynamic place for people, mobility, and connection.
