With 20 charging bays, the site is the first to have the company’s full design concept and is strategically located to cater to electric heavy duty vehicles.

Milence, the joint venture between Daimler Truck, the TRATON GROUP, and Volvo Group, has opened its largest charging hub to date at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges in Belgium.
Thanks to its central location, extensive connections and with a total throughput of 289 million tonnes per year, the port is a major hub for global trade and a key node in the company’s network. The newly opened charging hub marks a significant milestone for the company as its first site in Belgium and its largest across Europe.
The location is equipped with 20 charging bays, each capable of a 400kW charging capacity.
”Situated on the Rhine-Alpine corridor, one of the busiest freight routes in Europe, this will bring the charging infrastructure where it is most needed to enable the sustainable transport of goods across the continent,” said Anja van Niersen, CEO of Milence.
A second hub at truck parking Goordijk, with five Combined Charging System (CCS) chargers powering ten bays, is planned to open later this year.
To ensure accessibility for every truck on the market, Milence has signed agreements with several major e-Mobility Service Providers in Europe, and is planned to continue being expanded.
