Nio has announced a new charging partnership with Sinopec Group, China’s oil giant.

This agreement builds on their successful collaboration over the past three years, during which they established 279 charging and battery swap stations across the country. The new agreement allows Nio users to easily locate and leverage Sinopec's network of charging stations through the Nio App, in-vehicle screens, and the Jiadian App developed by Nio.

This partnership aims to enhance convenience, particularly for recharging during the upcoming National Day holiday trips on October 1-7, as reported by cnevpost.

Sinopec, one of China’s largest state-owned energy companies, has been collaborating with Nio since 2021. Their initial strategic cooperation agreement focused on developing charging and battery swap infrastructure.

The first second-generation battery swap station was launched at a Sinopec gas station in Beijing in April 2021. To date, their collaboration has resulted in a total of 279 charging facilities, comprising 119 battery swap stations and 160 charging stations, spanning 29 provincial administrations across China.
