Nouria Energy acquires H.A. Mapes

Nouria Energy Retail hac acquired H.A. Mapes, a New England-based petroleum distributor and c-store operator. The purchase involves a retail network of 13 locations as well as its distribution businessing encompassing a total of 80 customers.
The subsidiary of Nouria Energy Corporation owns 170 convenience store locations and over 55 Golden Nozzle car washes. With this transaction, the firm will expand its reach and footprint across North America.
H.A. Mapes is a third-generation, family owned and operated business with roots in Springvale, Maine. The Company was founded in 1936 by Harry Allen Mapes as a small heating oil provider servicing customers in Springvale. In 1950, Harry’s son, Harry Allen Mapes, Jr. joined the business and helped the company expand its reach throughout Southern Maine.
In 1982, Jonathan Mapes formally joined the third-generation family business. Under Jonathan’s guidance, Mapes transitioned from distributing heating oil to motor fuels and in 2018 he began building out the convenience retail offerings. During 2022, he unified each company-operated store with the launch of the Harry’s proprietary brand.
