OK has announced 32 new charging locations to be installed in the north of Zealand, Denmark. Before the end of 2024, the brand will commission 32 new charging points, 28 AC and 4 DC.

The company believes that establishing a nationwide charging network is essential to the success of the transition into alternative fuels for transportation. This is set to be achieved by  promoting electric vehicle (EV) adoption, eliminating range anxiety and ensuring equal access to charging facilities.

The agreement between the chain and the city of Hillerød, where the chargers will be installed, covers various public areas. According to the contract, the new  stations are scheduled to be operational by October 1, 2024.

"We have a great desire to promote green transportation and improve the public charging infrastructure in Denmark. Therefore, we are pleased to collaborate with Hillerød Municipality, which will contribute to giving the municipality's citizens and visitors easy access to charging in public spaces," said Kenneth Risborg Korsgaard, Marketing Director at OK.

A total of 16 charging stations are set to be established, with two outlets each. The company will commission two fast chargers with 75 kW capabilities while the remaining 14 will feature a charge capacity of 11 kW.
