ORLEN adds in-car payments to Czech station network
Last update: Apr 8, 2025
The service is available at all of the company’s 439 stations in the country and also offers a geo-location function when looking for nearby stations on the road.

ORLEN has rolled out a new in-car payment system across its service station network in the Czech Republic, becoming the first company in the country to enable fuel payments directly from vehicles via onboard displays.
The new functionality allows drivers to pay for fuel using the company’s app integrated into their car’s infotainment system, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This development builds on its growing digital offering, which already includes mobile payments via QR codes at the pump and in-store checkout.
“The number of customers preferring our app for payments keeps increasing, so we have introduced another innovation. This is the first time in Czechia that drivers can complete fuel payments from inside their vehicle using the onboard version of the ORLEN app,” said Rostislav Moravec, Director of the ORLEN station network.
The system also enhances convenience by helping users locate nearby stations based on preferred criteria such as station type, fuel availability, and services like Stop Café.
Once at the station, drivers can refuel and pay through the in-car display using any bank card or ORLEN’s Tankarta Easy and Tankarta Business fuel cards. Receipts are stored digitally in the app for up to 18 months.
ORLEN operates 439 stations in Czechia and holds a 28.5% share of the local fuel market. The company is also active in advancing alternative energy offerings, with more than 290 electric vehicle charging points and two hydrogen stations, and provides a broad selection of fuels including LPG, CNG, and HVO100 synthetic fuel.
