The company is now selling HVO100 at the star petrol station in Achim, as part of its strategy to provide more climate-friendly fuels.

Orlen has added HVO100 to its star station in Achim, as part of its strategic goal to expand the range of climate-friendly, sustainable fuels and continuously reduce CO2 emissions.
HVO100 diesel sale at service stations in Germany has been accepted since the 29th of May 2024. Hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) is produced from residual and waste materials (vegetable oils) and can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%.
In addition, the alternative diesel fuel burns cleaner and has a positive effect on air quality by reducing pollution.
“By expanding our range to include HVO100, we are emphasizing our active role in transforming the mobility landscape towards more environmentally friendly solutions,“ says Artur Frankiewicz, General Manager at Orlen Deutschland GmbH.
Orlen plans to expand its HVO100 offering to other locations across Germany, in an effort to help companies with commercial vehicle fleets in fulfilling legal emissions regulations.
