Petrochina unveils first integrated energy station

The site is equipped to provide a complete fueling experience able to cater to conventional and alternative energy vehicles.

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) opened its first pan-industry integrated energy station in Huaqiao, Jiangsu Province. 

After the company opened its super charging and swap demonstration station in the Beijing Winter Olympics Village and the super charging station in Binhai New Area of Tianjin, Huaqiao station is the first all-scenario integrated energy services station. The site offers oil, gas and hydrogen refueling, charging and battery swap services, dining and shopping services. 

This new site Petrochina’s move to embark on the fast track of new energy transition and development in its fuel retail business.

Apart from offering a variety of energy services, the site also offers intelligent robotic refueling arms, charging poles and other facilities. Drivers can complete their charging processes in 10 minutes and battery swap in less than 3 minutes. 

Furthermore, the station is equipped to fill 35MPa high-pressure hydrogen, with a capacity of about 500kg/12h. There are also comprehensive services at its convenience stores, including Chinese and Western fast-food choices, as well as 10 pan-industry services such as a drivers’ home, health & physiotherapy, car rental and insurance, among others.

In 2023, driven by the national “Dual Carbon” goals, CNPC has been redoubling its efforts in new energies business development under the three-step strategy of “clean alternatives, strategic replacement and green development”. 

So far, CNPC has built 1,305 PV and storage stations, 718 charging and swap stations, 18 hydrogen refueling stations and 62 integrated energy service stations.
