Q8 and Storm have opened the first four fast-charging stations for electric vehicles (EV) in Belgium as part of their collaboration to establish 200 fast-charging locations.

The new sites have been established in East Flanders, Limburg, and Flemish Brabant. Both locations built in East Flanders allow 10 cars to charge simultaneously with a capacity of up to 400kW, while the one in Limburg can welcome six vehicles and the last features charging capabilities for four cars.

“The next fast-charging station is already in planning: the first full-service charging station with a shop and restaurant will open in Heusden-Zolder in the first quarter of 2025. We are also looking at plenty of additional charging options and even separate charging squares at existing gas stations,” said Frank Rouwens, Managing Director of Q8.

The fast charging stations provide 100% renewable energy of Belgian origin. All locations will be built with sustainable and natural materials while also have permeable paving, green planting and a green roof.
