Rompetrol is set to widen its national footprint with the construction of 13 new fuel distribution stations across Romania, in a move aimed at strengthening its presence along key transport corridors and high‑speed roads. The first six stations are already under construction, with completion expected in April and openings scheduled between June and July.

According to Laurenţiu Colţănel, Network Planning and Development Director at KMG International (Rompetrol), the project involves simultaneous development in three regions. He said specialised teams were supporting the rollout, which targets areas with growing strategic importance for national mobility. The expansion forms part of the company’s longer‑term plans to add value to Romania’s fuel distribution segment.

The initial six sites will create more than 130 jobs. Each station will feature multiproduct dispensers, high‑speed diesel pumps, an AdBlue unit, LPG facilities and four 150 kW electric vehicle chargers. The stations will adopt Rompetrol’s “hei” concept and occupy a footprint of 273 square metres.

Two facilities are being built in Mureş County on the A3 Motorway, near Târgu Mureş, with capacity for 36 cars and 11 heavy‑duty vehicles. In Braşov County, two new stations on the city bypass will accommodate 59 cars and 22 trucks. A further two stations are under development in Suceava, providing 50 parking spaces for cars and 20 for heavy vehicles.
